How to Use Crafted Cores Kyber Crystals in Your GE Savi’s Workshop Lightsaber

Crafted Cores kyber crystals are fully compatible with custom-built lightsabers from Savi’s Workshop at Galaxy’s Edge. These unique crystals allow you to change your blade color—and add a more personal connection to your saber.
Step 1: Open the crystal chamber
To access the kyber crystal chamber, you’ll need to completely loosen the lightsaber:

Loosen the emitter (top) and pommel (bottom) pieces first.

Then, unscrew the two inner sleeves to reveal the internal chassis.

Finally, open the central button area—this gives you access to the kyber crystal slot inside.
Step 2: Remove the Current Kyber Crystal
The crystal sits vertically inside a central chamber. It is held in place by small indentations on the top and bottom, which allow the crystal to securely click in when properly positioned.

Carefully pull out the current crystal by gently lifting it from the center.
Step 3: Insert Your Crafted Cores Crystal
Take your Crafted Cores kyber crystal and insert it into the open chamber.

When inserted correctly, the lightsaber will give a small audible hum and a brief light flash to indicate that it has registered the new crystal.

The top side has a spring to help you easily position the crystal.

If you don’t get this reaction, you will want to check your lightsaber's batteries and try again.
Crafted Cores crystals are dual-sided, meaning each end contains a different chip and therefore a different blade color. You can flip the crystal upside down to switch between the two.
Step 4: Reassemble the Saber and Ignite
Once your crystal is locked in:

Close the button chamber.

Re-tighten the inner sleeves.

Screw the emitter and pommel pieces back into place.
Ignite your saber to reveal the new blade color—it’s that simple.
