About Us

"Long ago in forgotten times, when the Sith and Jedi fought for control of the galaxy, weapons there were, of unimaginable power. Always at their heart, a kyber crystal was."

What does Crafted Cores Do?

Here at Crafted Cores, we are all about providing fantastic and functional products to add to your enjoyment of Star Wars fandom. Our main focus is Kyber Crystals. Our crystals are fully functional with the sabers and holocrons sold at Galaxy's Edge. Most of our crystals are double-sided, meaning that they have twice the functionality of the basic kybers, in addition to being much more artistic.

To date, we have produced over 30 distinct Kyber Crystals. Some of these have been limited-edition runs, while others are open-edition and still available for purchase. Our Kybers are hand-poured from resin, and then painstakingly sanded and finished to have a glossy, smooth, and totally flawless look.

We also create some laser-engraved artwork, posters, and t-shirts, with collaboration from some amazingly talented artists.

Our Story

Crafted Cores started in 2019, when my brother showed off his cool new lightsaber from Galaxy's Edge. He'd had a hard time choosing his color of kyber crystal. As a natural tinkerer, I was curious if I could make my own and program it to have whatever color I wanted. It occurred to me that a double-sided kyber would be pretty cool. My first attempt was totally unartistic, but functional! I began to experiment with resin, and created a beautiful double-sided kyber crystal made with blue, yellow, and green. The demand for it surprised me, and propelled me forward into creating Crafted Cores.

Crafted Cores became our small family business around the same time I became a new dad. This business is growing up with our family, and the support of our wonderful Crafted Cores family has meant the world to us.

As the Force continues to be with us, we will continue creating Kyber Crystals that you and your loved ones will treasure.

"The strongest stars have hearts of kyber."
